Amanda Jones, M.Ed., LPC Associate
“You’re not too sensitive, too intense, or too much.”
Bio
You're not too sensitive, too intense, or too much. Your brain works differently — and once you understand how, the things that felt like failures start to make sense.
Maybe you replay scenarios until 2am, trying to find the solve it. Or maybe you and your partner keep having the same fight, and neither of you is wrong — you're just wired differently, and nobody handed you a translation.
As a former teacher turned counselor, my ADHD and autistic students taught me that neurodivergent brains aren't broken—just different. Driven by their impact and my own lived experience, I’ve spent years researching how these minds and bodies actually work to build affirming strategies for the brain you have, not the one others expect.
I'm also trained in couples and family counseling, with particular attention to relationships where one or both partners are neurodivergent and the standard advice keeps missing. My style is person-centered, because you are the expert on you — my job is to help you find your way. We'll decide together what else to bring in.
