Accessibility
What we have done to make this site usable, where we know it still falls short, and how to tell us when something does not work.

What we are aiming for
We want this site to work for people who browse with a screen reader, who navigate by keyboard, who need larger text, or who find low-contrast type hard to read. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA, the standard most organizations work to.
We will not claim we have fully reached it. Accessibility is something you keep working at, and an honest statement is more use to you than a confident one.
What we have done so far
- Headings are marked up as real headings, in order, so a screen reader can move through a page by structure.
- Photographs carry text descriptions.
- Text and background colors were checked for contrast rather than chosen by eye.
- Links, buttons and the menu can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, and show a visible outline when focused.
- Nothing moves, flashes or plays sound on its own.
- Pages reflow for small screens and stay readable when text is enlarged.
- We honor the setting that reduces motion, if your device sends it.
Where we know it falls short
Being specific is more useful than a general apology:
- The appointment request form and the client portal run on our practice management provider's software, not ours. We cannot change their code. If either is difficult for you, call us and we will take the information over the phone instead.
- The Instagram feed near the foot of the home page is supplied by Instagram, and the descriptions on those images are the ones written when each was posted.
- Any document we link to as a PDF may not be as easy to use as a web page. Ask us and we will provide the content another way.
- Maps and directions open on Google's website, under their accessibility standards.
Getting into our offices
These are true of both our Colleyville and Fort Worth offices:
- Accessible parking is available.
- The entrance is level, with a curb ramp from the parking area.
- Doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair.
- Restrooms are accessible.
Service animals are welcome. You do not need to tell us in advance or show us anything. If you would rather not wait in the shared waiting room — for any reason at all — call ahead and we will arrange something that works, and we will do the same for anyone else who asks.
If you are not sure whether an office will work for you, call 817-778-9232 before you book and we will describe it honestly. Online sessions are available from anywhere in Texas if coming in is the obstacle.
If something here does not work for you
Tell us. You do not need to explain the technology or know what went wrong — "I could not read the page about rates on my phone" is enough for us to act on.
Call 817-778-9232 and say you are calling about the website. We will acknowledge it, and while we work on a fix we will get you the information another way: read it to you, mail it, or go through it with you in person.
If you are in crisis, do not wait on this. Call or text 988, or go to your nearest emergency room. More on our crisis resources page.
