Example: If your copay for a therapy visit is $20, you pay $20 each time you see the therapist, and the insurance will reimburse the practice.
Coinsurance: A percentage of the cost of a covered healthcare service that you pay after reaching your deductible.
Example: If your coinsurance is 20% and the therapy visit is $100, you pay $20 (20% of $100), and your insurance covers the rest. This applies after you've met your deductible.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, a type of psychotherapy technique that is primarily used to treat trauma. It can also be used to enhance emotional resources such as confidence and self-esteem. According to the 2013 World Health Organization (WHO) practice guideline: "This therapy [EMDR] is based on the idea that negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are the result of unprocessed memories. The treatment involves standardized procedures that include focusing simultaneously on spontaneous associations of traumatic images, thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations and bilateral stimulation that is most commonly in the form of repeated eye movements."

The truth is, most of us can greatly benefit from counseling.
What is the "No Surprise Act"?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
Every client's situation is unique and the length of time in counseling/number of sessions held will vary case by case. A Good Faith Estimate is calculated by multiplying the number of sessions with the session rate.
If you pay for services out of pocket, a Good Fatih Estimate will be provided to you at your initial sessions.
