There have been a multitude of personal and professional experiences that have led me to where I am today. I am a firm believer that our life experiences, regardless of how difficult they might seem, not only serve a purpose but also make us stronger, more resilient individuals. My journey began as an educator, teaching middle school choir to students grades 6-8. My role as a choir director taught me many valuable lessons including how to be a more patient person, the ability to empathize with others, and the importance of establishing and maintaining healthy relationships. The more experience I gained as an educator, the more I noticed that students felt comfortable confiding in me about issues they were experiencing. I enjoyed this one-on-one aspect and listening to each of their stories so much that it inspired me to pursue a career in counseling. I graduated in 2021 with a Masters in Counseling from The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley and have been working in the Grapevine/Colleyville area as a School Counselor since then.
