Bryan Tzeng (he/him), MA, LPC-SUPERVISOR
owner of zen life counseling
I started my journey when a teacher told me "no one has the right to minimize your feelings. To one person, failing their algebra test might be the worst day of their lives, to another, it might be losing their grandfather. No matter what others may say or think, no one has the authority to tell you how you should feel." I have been passionate about counseling ever since. I received my B.A. of Psychology at UNT and my M.A. of Professional Counseling at Texas Wesleyan University. I am currently serving the Fort Worth, Colleyville, and Keller areas.
After graduating from Texas Wesleyan in 2013, I became a clinical intern at the Children's Advocacy Center for Denton County. I worked with children of physical and sexual abuse in individual sessions, play therapy, and group therapy. While we worked on difficult cases, I loved all my client's and in particular my therapy group. I had never felt more supported than by the staff at the CACDC, and loved each individual I worked with. I've also worked at behavioral health hospitals and Ranch Hands Rescue a Non-profit focused on helping clients struggling with various traumas. I was blessed through Texas Wesleyan University and my amazing professors, Dr. Linda Metcalf and Dr. Edita Ruzgyte, to travel abroad to China, London, And Australia for additional Training in Couples, Solutions focused, Narrative, and Sex therapy.
