Accepting new clients @ Colleyville office
My pursuit of counseling began at a very young age. Growing up as an Arab-American and spending most of my life in Kuwait, I was exposed to a wide range of cultures, perspectives, and belief systems. These experiences shaped the way I understand people and deepened my appreciation for the inherent worth and dignity of every individual. They also taught me how both healing and challenging it can be to navigate change, identity, and belonging.
This understanding inspired me to pursue a career where I could walk alongside others. I am especially drawn to supporting those navigating the complexities and growth that come with cultural transitions by offering empathy, encouragement, and a space where they feel seen and empowered. As an Arab-American with my own story of immigration, I understand how challenging it can be to adapt to a new culture, feel a sense of belonging, and make meaning of one’s identity. I am passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate these transitions and build a sense of connection, confidence, and self-understanding.
With this motivation in mind, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas at Dallas. As a graduate intern, I am grateful to begin doing work that feels deeply meaningful to me. I hope to walk alongside clients with empathy, curiosity, and respect. I aim to create a space filled with compassion and care, where clients feel understood and supported as they navigate their own experiences, transitions, and goals.
