Lauren is accepting new clients
My journey into the world of mental health began at the University of North Texas where I received both my Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Human development and Family Science, and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. While my passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind and desire to help others were my driving force, I felt a strong will to continue to nurture my lifelong passion for music as well which guided me to minor in Music. This unique combination ignited my passion for Expressive Arts therapy, an approach that encourages individuals to communicate, reflect and in turn heal through various artistic mediums. Whether it be through painting, music, or Sandtray therapy (yes sand, please ask me more about this!), I am passionate about helping individuals tap into their creativity while also providing a nonjudgmental, genuine and accepting environment that empowers connection to self and others in ways that are profound and meaningful to each individual.
I understand that life can be messy and complex and full of twists and turns, and I believe that there is beauty in connection and strength in vulnerability. Together, we can explore what living in congruence looks and feels like for you. |
