As a woman who has faced many life challenges and experiences--and now as a therapist--I recognize that we all come from diverse backgrounds, each shaped by a rich and complex tapestry of experiences. But, one thing we all share as human beings is a deep need for connection--to be seen, heard, valued, and accepted for who we truly are. As your therapist, I will strive to provide you with a safe, supportive, & non-judgmental space where you can process your experience(s), build self-awareness, set healthy boundaries, and move towards growth & healing.
I am most passionate about and experienced in helping adult women navigate their way through the psychological and emotional weight of life including stress, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, low self-esteem, childhood abuse, sexual trauma, parenting struggles, marital challenges, and other relationship challenges. I also enjoy working with adult males and engaged/married couples. My clinical experience includes over 5 years of working with individuals impacted by trauma--particularly survivors of sexual abuse--in both advocacy and counseling roles. My work has focused on helping clients build coping skills, understand the effects of trauma, uncover the root causes, and begin the process of rebuilding a sense of self, safety, and trust. I believe that the foundation of therapy is a trusting relationship and meeting my clients where they are without judgment. Because of my commitment to you and the co-facilitation of your journey, we will work together to tailor your treatment and interventions used to meet your personal needs. Your story may be similar to mine or maybe not, but the effect that your story has had on you may be the same. Either way, I would love to support you and partner with you on your healing journey! Let me end by saying that I know that it takes a lot of strength and courage to ask for help! I'm so proud of you and your decision! |
