I was raised in a small town without many resources, so becoming a resource to others allows me to help make a difference in the lives of people who might feel like nothing can change. I understand how it feels to be in between the rock and the hard place, but therapy can be the chisel that gets you free.
I have a passion for working with those that have experienced, or are currently experiencing, change, trauma and/or grief. Grief comes in all forms, whether you lost someone or you feel a loss of something, whether the person you lost is still living or if the loss you feel is due to a change in abilities, situations, relationships, or environments - grief can be destabilizing and confusing. Trauma can cause changes in the brain that can create ripple effects in every area of your life from your emotional reactivity, your relationships, your abilities, to your understanding of yourself and others. Trauma can impact who we are but therapy can impart resilience and growth on who we are going to be. Grief and trauma can both feel all-encompassing and it can feel like it is easier to "check-out" or be "numb" but together we can learn to live again, feel fully and find yourself. I hope to provide a compassionate & non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear, criticism or judgment. I am passionate about understanding your whole self - with a holistic view of your mental, physical, spiritual and emotional sides we can uncover your inner strengths and resources that enable you to make meaningful changes and live a more fulfilling life. |
